Li Qi is working for a dolphin show, his friend Ren Yu chugs along with his mobile karaoke, working the surfers’ beach along the coast of Hainan Island where they both live. The tourists are delighted by Ren’s physical similarity to the screen actor Leslie Cheung and are happy to pay for a photo with him – or to get drunk with him. When a young woman joins this polyamorous couple, things are no dif- ferent at rst and an open, three-way rela onship would seem possible. Together, Li Qi, Ren Yu and Bai Ling set out to test the limita ons of a restric- ve society as well as their own sexuality. But then, something happens that rocks the protagonists to the core and will have a deep and las ng e ect on them... Director Hu Jia portrays a genera on that would appear to move casually between tradi on and a courageously alterna ve way of life. The lm’s unusual se ng is compelling from the word go. Largely without dialogue, this drama instead relies on small gestures that are full of meaning. The lm’s quietly explicit images tell a tale of love, sex, trust and brutality – providing a picture of everyday life in China that is seldom seen on the big screen.
#HKIFF#南方的气候，北方的口音。节奏紊乱，意图不明。尽是零零散散的片段，缺少完整情节。句不成章，散漫空洞，剪辑全是问题，手持摄影也不搭调。“槟榔”在其中的意义到底是什么，又有什么指涉？故事只有框架，创作者应该也不知道自己究竟要什么。整部作品就似一段学生习作，学什么春光乍泄。
求，编剧好好写剧本，在这些演员们意识到自己的身体尚不具有任何表现力之前，认认真真开口念对白。
真的不需要这种所谓的“为艺术献身”的“艺术片”，小镇青年的《祖与占》还是《你妈妈也一样》？大可不必哈。人物的动机真的缺乏合适的梳理，把很多概念化的东西反而讲的太实了，整体质感也不太电影。另外，两男主这得拿八倍放大镜看才能看出是一对。既要设定两男主是情侣，又只展现女性裸露镜头和3p场景，难道不是只为满足导演的男性凝视？就很离谱。
1.8G。原来黎族婚礼上不敬烟是敬槟榔。大丁双性恋李康生与吴京在催情槟榔之后与少女发生了3P，后来为了这女的得罪了地方黑帮，最后李康生被打，吴京拿刀去为他砍了人报仇，女的最后也被先奸后杀抛尸海中。 吃槟榔会让人脸红、头晕、心跳会加速，女孩说，这不就是恋爱的感觉嘛！
对大陆同志电影还是宽容一点吧，至少本片的精良制作水平已经完爆各种学生习作了。前半部分刻画了一个对大陆同志来说近似乌托邦的存在，可惜后半部分女主出现走上直男视角的猎奇之路，就如片名一样扯淡。
